Dr. Brian Dalton obtained his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering. After graduation, he remained on staff as a Vanderbilt graduate lecturer and biomedical researcher. He participated in joint interdisciplinary studies between the School of Engineering, the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center for Hearing and Speech.
Dr. Dalton went on to study dentistry at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis. As a dental student, Dr. Dalton participated in advanced elective courses in periodontal surgery and case-based orthodontics. He was awarded several scholarships while in dental school to include: the Delta Dental of Tennessee award, Dr. Gerald R. Karr award, and Dr. Thomas Weems award.
He was nominated and inducted into the following organizations as determined by vote of the dental school faculty based on his clinical skill and his scholastic excellence: Omicron Kappa Upsilon (National Dental Honor Society) and the Richard Doggett Dean and Marguerite Taylor Dean Honorary Odontological Society. He graduated in 205 with Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors.
Since graduation, Dr. Dalton has furthered his dental education through completion of many specialized courses in oral sedation and dental implantology. He has placed a special emphasis on learning and providing advanced techniques in dental implant placement and restoration. As such, Dr. Dalton was awarded a Fellowship from the International Dental Implant Association.
